Modern Log Cabin
All levels, $700 (6 hours)
This class will focus on using a traditional quilt block, Log Cabin, but in a non-traditional way. Free-form cutting allows you to control the look and design of your quilt block. Decisions on the next color and strip size/shape are made as you build the block. No need to have a plan, in fact you will be more creative without one! Just pick a strip and sew! Techniques the student will learn are free-form cutting, liberated sewing or sew-as-you-go as well as design and composition.
